The Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA), responsible for overseeing the country’s official music charts, recently declared that tracks entirely created by artificial intelligence will no longer be permitted. ARIA’s spokesperson, Andrew Knowles, stated that recordings must have a substantial human involvement to be considered for the ARIA charts.
Tracks primarily generated by generative AI will be disqualified, especially if AI is responsible for significant creative elements like lead vocals or instruments.
