Police have announced that traffic has resumed on a stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway in Newfoundland’s western region following an earlier crash that had closed both lanes. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirmed the reopening of the highway at approximately 8 p.m., after initially reporting the closure at around 1:30 p.m.
Motorists were cautioned about potential delays and advised to reduce speed as they approached the affected area, located approximately six kilometers west of the Flat Bay Junction. This junction is in close proximity to the community of Flat Bay and Route 403 in the Bay St. George area.
