Published:

Montreal’s Felix Auger-Aliassime suffered a 6-3, 6-4 defeat against American Frances Tiafoe during the fourth round of the Cincinnati Open on Wednesday evening. Despite serving 13 aces, the second-seeded Canadian committed 37 unforced errors, while Tiafoe, seeded No. 17, made only 16 such mistakes, securing the win in one hour and 40 minutes.

Meanwhile, in the third-round doubles match, Canada’s Gabriela Dabrowski and Czech player Barbora Krejcikova lost to the Czech pair of Linda Noskova and Marie Bouzkova in a competitive 6-3, 1-6, 10-7 battle. Dabrowski, hailing from Ottawa, typically partners with Luisa Stefani but has been playing with different partners due to Stefani’s ongoing elbow injury.
