Yvonne Ejim’s 19 points contributed to Canada’s 3-0 record, with Syla Swords adding 17 points to the win. Mariana Valenzuela scored 17 points for Mexico.
Canada’s next match in the semifinals will be against New Zealand on Saturday, while the host team will face Brazil. The tournament’s ultimate prize is a spot in one of the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments scheduled for February 2028.
