The New Jersey Devils have appointed Jessica Campbell as the manager of hockey development and Bryan McCabe as the VP of prospect personnel and assistant general manager for the American Hockey League’s Utica Comets. These new additions to the front office were announced on Wednesday as players began reporting to training camp under the leadership of new GM Sunny Mehta.
Campbell comes to the Devils after serving as an assistant coach with the Seattle Kraken for the past two seasons. Notably, she was the first woman to hold a full-time on-bench assistant coaching role in the NHL. Both Campbell and McCabe will be reporting to assistant GM Braden Birch, who also joined Mehta from the Florida Panthers. McCabe, previously the director of player personnel in Florida, brings his experience to his new role with the Devils.
