Liam Draxl secured the first point for Canada in the Davis Cup contest against France. Draxl outplayed Arthur Rinderknech with a score of 6-2, 7-5 in the opening singles match held at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City. During the match, Draxl showcased a strong performance with nine aces and successfully converted three out of his 10 break-point opportunities. Notably, the 24-year-old managed to fend off all three break-point chances presented by Rinderknech. The upcoming match will feature Montreal’s Felix Auger-Aliassime squaring off against Quentin Halys on the same day.
