A tragic incident occurred in Meductic, a small community located around 30 kilometers southeast of Woodstock, resulting in the death of a 14-year-old boy. According to police reports released on Friday, the young boy lost his life after his dirt bike collided with a pickup truck.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) responded to the scene of the collision at the junction of Crow Hill Drive and Temple Road at approximately 1 p.m. on Thursday. Preliminary investigations suggest that the accident took place when the dirt bike rider, heading north on Crow Hill Drive, failed to stop at the intersection and crashed into the eastbound pickup truck on Temple Road.
The teenager, a resident of Hartin Settlement which is southwest of the crash location, succumbed to his injuries at the site of the collision. Fortunately, the driver of the pickup truck, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, escaped unharmed.
The RCMP is actively conducting an investigation into the tragic incident to determine further details surrounding the collision.
