“Ottawa Warns of Traffic Chaos After Riverside Drive Watermain Break”

The City of Ottawa issued a warning to motorists on Friday afternoon due to a watermain break that led to the closure of a section of Riverside Drive between Tremblay Road and Industrial Avenue, located just south of the Highway 417 junction. At the scene, both northbound lanes and one southbound lane of Riverside Drive remained shut down by late Friday afternoon. A visible sinkhole, equivalent to the width of a single lane, was observed in the vicinity of the watermain break. The city advised drivers to anticipate significant delays while emergency crews address the situation.
