The Vancouver Goldeneyes’ captain, Ashton Bell, expressed excitement about the new team jerseys as they gear up for the upcoming Professional Women’s Hockey League season. Unveiled recently, the jerseys feature the team’s logo – a golden eye with wings – at the center, with bronze wing-like lines on the sleeves. The design also includes miniature logo outlines within the numbers on the back.
The new jerseys aim to reflect both the city of Vancouver and the team’s identity. Forward Jenn Gardiner, a local from Surrey, B.C., praised the design, noting the anticipation around how the logo would be incorporated into the jerseys.
Following a 9-3-4-14 record in their debut season, the Goldeneyes earned the first overall pick in the PWHL entry draft. They selected standout American defender Caroline (KK) Harvey. The team will showcase their new jerseys in their season opener on Dec. 5 against the Seattle Torrent.
Bell anticipates a strong fan turnout sporting the refreshed uniforms, enhancing the atmosphere at the games. The Goldeneyes logo is prominently displayed at their home rink, the Pacific Coliseum, creating a unique and special connection with the city and fans, as emphasized by Gardiner.
