One individual died, and two others sustained injuries in a collision involving a car and a transport truck on Highway 401 east of Gananoque on Wednesday evening, as confirmed by Ontario Provincial Police. The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m., and authorities are in the process of identifying the deceased person. Fortunately, the two individuals who were injured are expected to recover, as per police reports. Initially, the highway was shut down in both directions, but gradually reopened following the accident. All lanes were fully operational by approximately 12:20 p.m. on Thursday.
