World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka faced a tough challenge against Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova at the U.S. Open, eventually winning 7-6(1) 3-6 7-6(10-7) to advance to the semifinals for the sixth consecutive year. Sabalenka, the defending champion, had not lost a set prior to this match but was tested by the Czech sixth seed, who saved seven of nine break points and hit 18 aces.
