Trump expressed frustration at this pattern, stating that given his administration’s accomplishments, there may not even be a need for an election.
During a speech, Trump criticized the idea of running against Democrats, suggesting that the election should be canceled, although he acknowledged concerns that such a move could be misconstrued as dictatorial. Additionally, Trump openly speculated about the potential of extending his presidency beyond its term limits in a scenario similar to Ukraine’s situation with Russia.
In another instance, Trump falsely claimed to have won Minnesota in all three elections he participated in, when in reality, he lost Minnesota in each election. He also expressed uncertainty about his eligibility to run in the 2028 election, hinting at a possible constitutional change to allow him to run again.
