Ottawa police have arrested a 26-year-old man and charged him with second-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting at Herongate Square shopping centre over two years ago. The incident occurred on the evening of Sept. 19, 2024, when authorities discovered a severely injured man inside a vehicle in the mall’s parking lot. Despite receiving CPR from first responders, the man succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
