“Arrest Made in Edmonton Teen Girl’s Death”

On August 18, authorities have announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with the death of a 16-year-old girl in Edmonton. Due to the suspect being a minor, no further details can be disclosed at this time. More information is expected following the completion of the autopsy scheduled for Wednesday.

The Edmonton Police Service is currently looking into the suspicious death of the teenage girl in the northeastern part of the city. The incident took place following a reported shooting in the vicinity of 139th Avenue and 32nd Street around 6:50 a.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered the severely injured girl, but despite their efforts to administer first aid, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The EPS homicide division has taken over the investigation.

Authorities have stated that they will provide updates as soon as they have more information available.
