A recent release of documents from the Department of Justice sheds light on Jeffrey Epstein’s final wishes, where he planned to leave his partner a substantial inheritance. The documents reveal that just before his death, Epstein drew up a will distributing his vast fortune and assets to over 44 beneficiaries. Among them, his partner, Karyna Shuliak, a Belarusian national, was to receive $50 million, a 33-carat diamond ring, properties in Paris and Florida, as well as ownership of Little Saint James island and his New York townhouse.
In addition to the financial provisions, Epstein was reported to have covered substantial medical expenses for Shuliak’s mother and potentially contributed to her parents’ upscale residence in Belarus. The will also specified that the 33-carat diamond ring was intended for a possible marriage with Shuliak.
Epstein, who tragically died while facing sex trafficking charges, had his will witnessed by his attorney, Darren Indyke, shortly after his passing. Indyke was set to inherit $50 million, while his accountant, Richard Kahm, was designated to receive $25 million. The remaining estate was directed to a trust responsible for compensating victims, settling taxes, and covering legal costs.
Despite the allocations, $127 million from the total assets remains unaccounted for. Notably, Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former associate now serving a prison sentence for sex trafficking, is entitled to $10 million from the estate, along with Epstein’s brother and pilot.
Shuliak was reportedly the last person to speak with Epstein before his death and had visited him at the Metropolitan Correctional Center shortly before the tragic incident. The Department of Justice recently released three million documents from the Epstein case, providing further insights into his estate planning and final wishes.
