“Nunavut RCMP Arrest Youth for Chesterfield Inlet Murder”

RCMP in Nunavut have arrested a young individual on murder charges following a shooting incident in Chesterfield Inlet that resulted in the death of a man. Law enforcement officers responded to reports of a shooting at a residence in Chesterfield Inlet around 1 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 9. Upon arrival, they discovered a man who appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the local health center where he was later pronounced deceased. The suspect was apprehended on the same day. Nunavut RCMP disclosed on Tuesday that the youth has been formally charged with first-degree murder. The accused is currently in custody and is set to appear in court in Iqaluit on Nov. 16.
