“RCMP Confirms Homicide-Suicide in New Brunswick Tragedy”

In western New Brunswick, the deaths of two men initially treated as suspicious have now been determined to be a case of homicide and suicide, as per the RCMP. On Aug. 12, police were called to investigate the deaths in Knowlesville, Carleton County. The bodies of a 68-year-old man and a 74-year-old man were discovered in a residence on Knowlesville Road, approximately 20 kilometers east of Florenceville, along with a firearm. Although the men were not identified, the RCMP mentioned that they were local residents who were acquainted and shared a residence. Cpl. Hans Ouellette confirmed that no other individuals were involved in the incident. While the causes of the deaths were determined to be homicide and suicide, the specific manner of death for each man remains undisclosed. The RCMP’s major crimes unit has wrapped up the investigation, stating that no criminal charges will be brought in connection to the case.
