The latest WXCharts maps depict a snow blanket enveloping most of mainland Britain and Northern Ireland on Thursday, January 8. The snowfall is anticipated to peak around 6 am, persisting throughout the day across the majority of the country.
The Met Office has not yet confirmed the likelihood of snow in January due to the challenges meteorologists face in forecasting snow accurately. However, the latest live maps suggest a significant amount of snowfall. As per the current maps referenced by the Express, the following counties and regions are expected to witness snow on January 8.
The Met Office’s current forecast indicates a “cold, showery, northerly flow” at the beginning of January, followed by a period of relatively settled weather.
