A doctor practicing in Christina Lake, located approximately 20 kilometers outside of Grand Forks in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia, has been accused of two counts of sexual assault. Dr. Nathan Gordon Dalla Lana was officially charged on October 16, as per court records. The alleged incidents of sexual assault took place on August 10, 2026, in the vicinity of Grand Forks. The identities of the two individuals reportedly assaulted by Dr. Dalla Lana are shielded by a publication ban.
Authorities from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Grand Forks confirmed the arrest but declined to offer additional details. Dr. Dalla Lana is set to make his initial court appearance on November 17 in Grand Forks. He is registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) as a family physician working at a local medical facility. The clinic associated with Dr. Dalla Lana refrained from commenting on the arrest and charges.
CPSBC stated it would not provide comments on the case but emphasized that any physician facing criminal charges must disclose such information. The CPSBC’s Investigation Committee may deliberate on whether to impose restrictions on a licensee’s practice through a summary protection order upon receiving the charge report. Grand Forks, a community with around 4,100 residents situated about three kilometers north of the Canada-U.S. border and 330 kilometers southeast of Vancouver, is where the events unfolded.
