A doctor practicing in Christina Lake, located approximately 20 kilometers outside of Grand Forks in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia, has been accused of two counts of sexual assault. Dr. Nathan Gordon Dalla Lana was officially charged on Oct. 16, as per court records. The alleged incidents of sexual assault took place on Aug. 10, 2026, in the vicinity of Grand Forks. The identities of the two women involved have been shielded by a publication ban.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Grand Forks verified the arrest but declined to offer additional details. Dr. Dalla Lana is set to appear in court for the first time on Nov. 17 in Grand Forks. He is registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) as a family practitioner at a local medical facility. The clinic where he practices did not issue any statements regarding the arrest or charges.
CPSBC stated that it would refrain from commenting on the case; however, they mentioned that any physician facing criminal charges is obligated to report such information. The CPSBC’s Investigation Committee may contemplate imposing restrictions on a licensee’s practice through a summary protection order upon receiving the charge notification, as outlined by the organization’s communications team via email.
